At HTI, our mission is to innovate and commercialize technologies associated with heat and mass transfer.  We are passionate about delivering value-adding, revolutionary thermal solutions for industry.

Our success is measured by the benefits realized and the spread of application areas in which we serve.  Our patented technology enables our products to increase heat and mass transfer by “charging the air” so that the available energy is more efficiently transferred to material to evaporate water, solvents, etc.  Other solutions can improve cooling, heating, mixing, reduce emissions, or create a high efficiency water heating devices.

History

Heat Technologies, Inc (HTI) was formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996.

Our Timeline

The company developed the Spectra High Efficiency Dryer Technology based on pulse combustion technology.  This technology has been used for a variety of applications, such as water heating, conveyer drying, etc.  In April 2001, a US Patent was issued for this technology.
HTI developed the Impulse Deposit Removal System  which removes deposits from a variety of industrial and utility boilers.  In February 2003, a US Patent was issued for this technology.
HTI enhanced its drying system to run on electricity.  As a result the Spectra HE™ Ultra Drying System was developed and made commercial.  HTI has applied for a patent on this technology. 
Currently, HTI is involved in the development of higher efficient, water-based energy equipment for consumer and commercial applications.  The design is based on core HTI patented technology.

Gene Plavnik

Gene Plavnik is the founder and president of Heat Technologies, Inc.  Mr. Plavnik has more than 25 years of experience in research, development and commercialization of various high efficiency, low emissions, energy technologies for a cross-section of industries: paper and film converting, printing, boilers and water heaters (HVAC), utilities, incineration, paper production, cement production, steelmaking, etc.

Mr. Plavnik holds an MS in Heat and Mass Transfer Engineering.

Glenn Emory

Glenn Emory has over 25 years of experience having held a variety of M&A, general management and market development roles with a heavy emphasis on international growth for companies such as Weidenhammer Packaging, Printpack, Huhtamaki Oyj, Sonoco Products, Bayer AG, and Deutsche Aerospace.  Mr. Emory has successfully implemented international growth strategies through acquisition, green field start up, and partnerships.

Mr. Emory is a frequent speaker on consumer-directed and M&A strategy implementation, is an executive lecturer within the Terry School of Business entrepreneurship program and serves as a panelist for the Association of Corporate Growth sponsored MBA investment banking competition.  Mr. Emory is also a co-developer of the management tool “Understanding Collaborative Product Development” to accelerate market/product development times with greater probability of success.

Mr. Emory holds a Masters of International Business (MIBS) from the Moore School at the University of South Carolina and a bachelors of arts in government and international relations.
